Baseball In Heaven

Hey dad do you know they have baseball in heaven
I pitched for the "Red Sox" on my first day
Moses was a bit annoyed, I got caught "stealing"
He said they don't do that here . . .

Hey mom did you know they sled in heaven
We ride atop the tallest clouds
Holding our wings in very close
We make a swooshing sound
You call it "wind" down there . . .

Hey dad do you know they have cable TV here
I get to watch all the neat stuff I could ever want
They even have the episode of Family Guy
That we always enjoyed so much . . .

There's cold pizza to eat all through the day
Man . . . the girls are all awesome and cute
I wear the coolest Air Jordan's
And I never miss a basket when I shoot
About the girls . . . the no kissing on the first date thing sorta bothers me . .

Hey mom do you know they have dogs in heaven
I got one today her name is Hope
She follows me everywhere I go
And likes to lick my face

So mom & dad I guess what I am trying to say
Is that things really aren't so bad
I miss you and the family a lot at times
I miss the guy stuff I did with dad. . .

I do have some good news though . . .

At night when you fall asleep,
God said I can talk to you in your dreams
So those times I show up and we laugh and play
They are as real as they actually seem
Promise you'll talk back to me okay ( I can hear you when you pray) . . .

Hey dad do you know they have baseball in heaven
Oh that's right I said that before
I hit a homer just a while ago
Abraham and Gabriel came in for a score . . .

A camera man came close to get my picture
Just like they do for the pro's on TV
I had the biggest smile you've ever seen
I put my face close to the lens
It was huge and filled the screen
Do you know what I said?
Of course you do . . .
I looked in it and said . . .

"I love you mom, I love you dad....Alex and Ethan - to infinity and beyond!"

Door Holder- Brady’s Easter Letter

                                                                    By Russell Scott Steven Andersen

God gave me a big boy job today

He let me hold open Heaven’s pretty door

It’s so heavy and high up; I can barely see the top

I know I can keep it open though

‘Cause I have muscles and I’m really strong

Remember, how I do that pose that you taught me dad

I growl loudly and raise my arms

My fists shake a lot as I squeeze them

You laugh and call me “SUPERMAN”!

Mommy, everyone is so nice to me here, it’s really fun

They treat me special, I’m luckier than other kids,

I get to play with any pet I want

Ponies and tigers, even chimpanzees

(They’re my favorite; they play like me)

Today I even rode an elephant

It wasn’t like taking a tractor ride though

I knew it wouldn’t be ‘cause Ol’ Papa always says,

“Nothing runs like a Deere!”

Grammie, I told my OTHER Gammie, it’s like when you drive me around in the cart

When you take us on the weekend to shop at Wal-Mart

I have to sit in a basket and really hold on

I laugh and giggle as we bounce around, it’s a lot of fun

He doesn’t fit in my room though, the elephant that is

His butt is way too big

When Papa comes he will have to make the door a little higher!

I’ll help him like I always do.

He can use my plastic hammer! The one that he gave me . . .

I think I left it in my toy box . . .

Tell him not to forget it!

Oh yeah, tell Papa to wash up first, Heaven is clean

Sometimes when he works too hard he smells funny . . .

Okay, I’m tired so I’m going to go sleep now

See over there that’s my bed, the little fluffy one

Tell my brothers in the summer to lie in the grass and look at the sky

At the small cloud floating around all by itself,

“THAT’S ME!”

I’ll be looking down and waving back at everyone, but I’ll be very hard to see

The sun is very bright up this high . . .

But I’m here! I’m always near!

Look close, real close . . . Can you see me? I’m smiling!

Okay, bedtime.

I “LOVES” YOU!

A big , Big, BIG, bear hug,

<grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr>

Brady

2008

Brady was born on October 26th, 2004 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital at 4:04 in the morning.  He was a very beautiful baby.  He was a very adventurous kids that always was busy.  He had no fear and as someone said he never thought before he did things..... He learned to walk around 11 1/2 months and chased his brother around everywhere.  He was 1 1/2 younger than his brother alex which made them the best of friends and worst of enemies.  Brady always called him " Halex"....  He was going to be a big brother in April of 2008, which he was excited about.  He loved john deer tractors, trains, any type of constrution vehicles.  He always said he owned his own company that he had all kinds of equipment for.  He father works for a tree company and he always wanted to be just like daddy.  He would love to go plowing with daddy and normally within 1/2 hour of plowing  he was asleep,  he was great company then for his daddy.  He loved spending the weekends up at Gammie and Papa's... normally it consited of going to Subway for breakfast going to walmart and then just getting into trouble.  On monday he would spend the day at Ol' Gammmie and Ol' Papas house.  (his great grandparents) and watch movies all day until daddy came to get him and bring him home.  For the rest of the week he spent the time with mommy and Alex.  Tuesday and Thursday morning until 12 mommy and Brady got to spend time together alone.  Normally the errands were done then.  Walmart trips but always had to have a donut before... He hated hot food and made us always put his food in the freezer to cool it down.  He loved his sweets and loved to lick the frosting off the top and leave the rest.  Brady was a beautiful little boy with huge hazel eyes with eyelashes that were extremely long.  He always had a smile that could turn any bad day good and any grey sky blue.  He has extremely muscley hands and was extremely strong for a 3 year old.  Normally a little dramatic that when he was picking something up he would grunt and Make it seem like it was heavier than it was.   He was very independent and would only do what he wanted unless he was bribed.

Brady's life ended way to soon!! Things are very quiet without him around and he is sorely missed by the ones who new him and have the pleasure of getting to know him.
